Really lovely meal and generous portions, will definitely visit again. I had OAP menu, starter and main, plus pudding from main menu, was totally stuffed, partner had starter and main from main menu and couldn't manage a pudding. Price was very good too. Nice pint or two 😋😉

Excellent lunch of Roast Beef with all the trimmings. Loads of tasty veg - carrots, broccoli, red cabbage, savoy cabbage, new potatoes, roast potatoes and mash, gravy and horseradish. Followed by an excellent choice of puddings, with Gluten Free chocolate sponge and treacle sponge and custard. Sublime! Service was very friendly and efficient. Great choice of beers. Rob enjoyed an extremely good pint of Bass! Highly recommend!

Lovely dog friendly traditional pub. We had ham sandwiches at lunchtime, the ham was cooked on the premises and can definitely recommend. The landlady was very welcoming.

Popped in as we were passing on the way back to the north bank and glad we did. Proper oldie worldie pub unspoiled 2 roast dinners and refreshments were excellent... And. Really nice to see some old favourites you don't see anymore on the pudding menu Trifle, banana split, bread and butter pudding.. Unfortunately we were stuffed from the main meal and looking at the size of the puddings it would of tipped us over the edge.

Nipped in for a quick drink but so impressed by the ambience and sight of meals we chose to dine for a late lunch. Great choices on the menu, good value and very satisfied with our three meals on a dog friendly area of the bar. We'd have no hesitation in going back again...oh, and a good pint too! Nice beer garden and camping area to the rear! Happy!

Didn't stay in rooms so can't comment on them, the food however, was really tasty, rump steak cooked perfect, with lots of mushrooms and homemade onion rings, chicken in bbq sauce was nice too, very warm welcome on arrival, no airs and graces just lovely warm honest people, wagon and horses is set back slightly from the road, hence why we missed it first pass thru, got it on way back tho, lovely find, great atmosphere, locals friendly too

We went here today for lunch with my best bud and it did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent and was so nice to be served homemade chip🤤. We also had a dessert each and wow they certainly not cheat on the portion sizes which was lovely to see. Thank you for a great place to eat and we will be definitely be back.

Went here with good friends for lunch. Between us we had cottage pie, gammon and rump steak. All was lovely and home made. Piping hot too. We decided to have deserts because there was a fantastic choice. Again all homemade. Sticky toffee pudding, mars cheesecake, a malteeser sundae and neopolitan cheesecake. All lovely. Affordable prices and great service. We will be back.

Called in Monday lunchtime. Ordered two coffees which came in the smallest cups possible, coffee was lukewarm to say the least. I had the steak and ale pie which was bought in, not home made. The crust was inedible, hard as a rock, not puff pastry as it should be. Won’t be visiting again.

Shocking £6.00 for small glass of wine ,don't stop here for a drink, what a rip off £11.00 for pint of smooth bitter and small glass of wine that's £3 above average for area in a run down pub
